Richard Smith, DDS
Dr. Smith graduated from Creighton University with his dental degree and has been practicing dentistry for 20 years! As a dentist, he learned that he loves all aspects of dentistry, but particularly enjoys restorative work. He consistently strives to deliver the ideal outcome for his patients and help them smile again by listening and providing them with individualized treatment options. Dr. Smith’s philosophy and practice principles are modeled from Dr. John Kois’ approach of using predictable, evidence-based dental systems that enable him to deliver the highest level of patient care.
Passionate about giving back to underserved communities, Dr. Smith has volunteered through Smile 4 Serve Day doing dental treatment for patients at no charge. He has also worked with Downtown Olympia Kitchen preparing food for those in need.
Outside of the office Dr. Smith enjoys living an active lifestyle and finds peace in being a well-balanced person. Health and fitness are very important to him, and you may find him doing yoga, hiking, or spending time outdoors; a fun fact about him is he is a certified yoga instructor! Dr. Smith is also a creative writer and even wrote a 600-page fiction novel. Above all, he is a father to the most amazing son, and is his teacher, his friend, and his support.
